Worcester Park sits on the boundary of three boroughs, Sutton, Kingston and Epsom and Ewell, with a busy little Central Road at its heart and quiet suburban streets all around. It is one of the better-placed parts of south-west London for Heathrow: no motorway, but a fairly direct run through Kingston. A taxi from Worcester Park KT4 to Heathrow Airport costs from £59 for a saloon, fixed at booking, collected from your door and taken to any terminal.
The route through Kingston
From Worcester Park, the driver usually heads west along the A3 or through Old Malden and New Malden into Kingston, then crosses the Thames at Kingston Bridge and follows the A308 and A312 north through Hampton and Feltham towards Heathrow. An alternative goes up the A3 and across to the A316 at Richmond or Twickenham, then out to the M3 and round to the airport. It is around 14 miles.
On a clear road, the trip takes 35 to 40 minutes. The Kingston one-way system and the A3 at Tolworth and Shannon Corner are the usual slow spots at rush hour. On Twickenham Stadium event days, the driver will avoid the A316 altogether. For early-morning flights, the roads are quiet, and the trip can be under half an hour.
Around KT4
KT4 covers Worcester Park itself, with Central Road and the station, and North Cheam to the south, around the junction of the A24 and the A217. It also includes Old Malden and the residential streets around Cuddington Recreation Ground and the Hogsmill River. Most streets are easy to reach and have kerbside space, so the driver can wait a few minutes if needed.
On Central Road, parking is limited and the road is busy with buses, so if you live in a flat above a shop, tell us the nearest side road where the driver can stop.
Public transport to Heathrow
There are two main public transport options from Worcester Park, and both take longer than the car. The X26 express bus runs between Croydon and Heathrow via Sutton, North Cheam, Worcester Park and Kingston, reaching Heathrow Central in around an hour or so, depending on traffic. Alternatively, a train from Worcester Park station to Wimbledon or Clapham Junction can connect with the tube or the Elizabeth line, which takes an hour and a quarter or more.
For a solo traveller with light luggage, the X26 is cheap and convenient. With heavy luggage, children, or an early flight before the buses run frequently, the door-to-door car is the easier option, and for two or three people the fixed fare is competitive.
Which Heathrow terminal?
Heathrow has four working terminals: 2 and 3 in the central area, 5 at the western end, and 4 on the southern perimeter. They have different approach roads, so tell us your terminal when you book. Terminal 5 is mainly British Airways. Check your booking confirmation if you are not sure.
Heathrow drop-off charges
Since January 2026, every entry to a terminal forecourt drop-off zone at Heathrow has cost £7, up from £6, with a strict ten-minute limit enforced by cameras. An overstay or an unpaid charge brings an £80 penalty notice, reduced to £40 if paid within 14 days. If a friend is dropping you off, the free option is the Long Stay car park, where the first 30 minutes cost nothing, with a shuttle bus to the terminals.
With a pre-booked taxi, the fixed fare covers the drop-off.
Timing your pickup
As a guide, leave Worcester Park around two and a half hours before a short-haul flight and three hours before long-haul. Add half an hour in the school holidays. We will confirm a pickup time when you book.
Coming home
The same fixed fare applies from Heathrow to Worcester Park. Your driver tracks your flight, waits in arrivals with a name board and helps with your luggage. If you land early or late, the pickup moves automatically, and the time spent at passport control and baggage reclaim is included.
Families and groups
For families, an estate or MPV gives space for luggage and pushchairs, and child seats are free. For groups of up to eight, the eight-seat MPV keeps everyone together.
Business travel from KT4
For work trips, our executive saloon gives you a quieter cabin to take calls on the way, and business accounts get monthly invoicing with references for each journey.
